Fear and overwhelm are lousy reasons to stay put, here’s how to break free and finally make that change.

You’ve been talking about finding a new job for months now, perhaps even years.  It’s at the absolute top of your priority list. So why are you stalling?

You know you need to make a move… but you

  • worry that a new job is just going to be more of the same

  • aren’t sure what you want to move to

  • keep hoping that maybe just maybe your job will radically improve and you can avoid the whole ordeal

  • dread writing your resume and cover letter

  • would rather do just about anything than find a new job

Or maybe you keep hoping the perfect job will just fall into your lap without you having to do anything.

I’m not going to say it doesn’t happen.  But let’s be honest it’s highly unlikely.

If you want to find a job that:

  • gets you out of bed every morning

  • motivates and inspires you to do your best work

  • values what you bring to the table

  • is fulfilling, lets you do meaningful work and have a bit of fun

and gets you off the hamster wheel you’ve been stuck on….

It’s time to take matters into your own hands.

I’ll be straight with you.  Searching for a new job is hardly a picnic, it might even ignite a sense of panic. But, staying stuck in an ill-fitting job is crappy alternative to doing the work.

You can overcome the fear of making a change by cultivating certainty in yourself.

Imagine how much easier the process would feel if you:

  • were really clear on your why

  • had a broader sense of the opportunity available to you

  • had a specific vision you were trying to fulfill

  • felt empowered to boost your satisfaction at work

  • could easily identify target organizations or positions

  • knew how to easily speak to the value you bring

  • had a support network to help you reach your goal

I know it’s possible to check the box on all of those things, you just have to know how to get started.
